"One of the most successful businessmen in the history of New Ipswich. His businesses included lumber, bakery, cigars, wooden matches, ink, flavorings, et al. One of those businesses, theNew Ipswich Cigar Company, was one of four cigar businesses in New Hampshire in the 1840s, and was thelargest cigar businesses in the country."
