Offered here is an original admission ticket from the famous Real Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Italy, dating from the 1942–1943 World War II opera season.

The ticket is marked:

“STAGIONE LIRICA A. XXI E.F.”

XXI E.F. indicates Anno XXI of the Italian Fascist Era, corresponding to the 1942–1943 period.

The Teatro di San Carlo’s 1942–43 season was interrupted during the war, and the theater suffered bombing damage in 1943.

Condition: Original used vintage condition with age toning, folds, creasing, edge wear and separation/wear along some of the perforated lines. One outer edge is irregular/torn as shown. Please examine all photographs carefully for exact condition.
