Guests at the Soiree of the Golden Age of New Orleans organized by the Christian Woman's Exchange to benefit the restoration work on the Hermann-Grima House enjoyed an elegant recreation of the antebellum pleasure palace, Tivoli Garden. Highlighting the event was a presentation of authentic early 19th century dances. Susie DeRussy, Gordon E. Clay Jr., Karolyn Kuntz Leonard and Bruce Baird demonstrate some of the more popular dances of the Tivoli period, such as the schottische, waltz and the lancer. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
