Adventure Comics #386 (DC Comics, Nov 1969) — High-Grade Supergirl Showcase KeyUp for grabs is a breathtaking, museum-quality, 100% authentic copy of Adventure Comics #386 published by DC Comics in November 1969! This historic late Silver Age issue features a dedicated Supergirl double-feature showcase, starring the classic storylines \"The Beast That Loved Supergirl!\" and \"The Godmother of Steel!\". Features iconic, vibrant front cover action artwork. It looks and handles as if it was pulled straight out of a distributor box yesterday and has likely never been read!Official Comic Grading Notes (Inspected Under Desk Lamp):
  • Estimated Grade: Conservative Very Fine/Near Mint (VF/NM 9.0) vintage condition. I really think this book actually grades higher (sitting comfortably in the NM- 9.2 to NM 9.4 range), but I am under-grading it slightly because I want you to be completely happy when you get it! Displays spectacular flat eye appeal with superb structural integrity.
  • Cover & Gloss: Front cover holds its full, blinding original factory gloss with deep, rich ink color strikes. Captures a beautiful, highly striking presentation with zero color-breaking creases, surface dimples, or handling wrinkles across the artwork.
  • Spine & Staples: Spine is perfectly tight, straight, and flat on the desk with zero handling roll or storage twist. BOTH original 1969 factory staples are tight, clean, bright silver, and completely secure—the cover and all interior pages are firmly attached in place. Features only one single, microscopic 1/16\" spine crease near the back edge that is completely invisible on the front artwork face. Note that the book features a minor factory cover mis-wrap from the printing plant, making a 1/16\" sliver of the back cover border visible along the front lower left edge.
  • Edges & Corners: All four corner tips show only the absolute slightest, microscopic hint of standard vintage storage paper fuzzing, but remain structurally sharp and complete with no color-breaking corner creases. Edges are completely straight and flawless.
  • Interior Pages & Back Cover: Interior newsprint pages are supple, clean, and fully readable with standard light off-white vintage newsprint toning. No missing coupons, ink writing, or structural tears. The back cover is highly clean and flat with slight, natural uniform storage patina/soiling on the white background and minor vintage color loss on the red track borders.
  • Provenance: Sourced directly from the uncirculated remaining backstock of a brick-and-mortar comic book and sports card shop that closed down in 2001. Kept dark, dry, and flat in a secure vault environment for 25 years.
