Original antique quarter plate tintype photograph featuring four men posed together, likely dating to approximately 1885–1905. The seated gentleman is holding a beer stein, while two of the standing men appear to be holding bottles, creating an unusual and engaging social scene. The image has a painted studio backdrop and retains its authentic antique character.
This is an original tintype on a magnetic iron plate, not a modern reproduction.
Condition: Good antique condition with age-related wear. There are scratches, surface wear, oxidation, and a horizontal area of emulsion loss across the lower portion of the image. Corners show minor wear. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description.
Approximate size: 3¼” × 4¼” (quarter plate).
A wonderful addition for collectors of antique photography, tintypes, Victorian and early Americana photographs, occupational images, and breweriana or tavern-related memorabilia.
