House is 9-3/4" tall from the base to the top of the chimneys. It sits on a irregular shaped square base that ranges in size from 8-1/2" from the back to the front porch and 8/12" to 7-7/8" wide from side to side.
This is one of the many models that have been retired from the Original Snow Village by Department 56.
Highly detailed hand painted ceramic two-story house from the weathered "wood" siding over to the boarded up and broken paned windows to the holes on the black tile roof. The brick chimneys are slightly off kilter on either side of the widow's walk with a shaky looking banister outlining it. A green rocker sits on each side of the main opening with slightly off-kilter front doors on a "wood" plank porch. GRIMSLY is painted in black on a board across the front of the roof. RETIREMENT HOME is painted on a smaller board that sits on top of the porch roof. The window panes are painted in purple with yellow and have open areas for the light to shine through.Bottom is solid white ceramic and stamped as seen. An opening near the center allows for the original lighted cord to be inserted.
