Original vintage silver gelatin photograph depicting the Florida East Coast Railway car ferry Joseph R. Parrott discharging a double load of railroad freight cars at Havana, Cuba.
This large-format photograph offers a remarkable view of the specialized Havana terminal used to unload railroad cars transported by ferry from Florida. An inset photograph at the upper left shows the Joseph R. Parrott, one of the historic car ferries associated with the Florida East Coast Railway’s maritime service between Key West and Cuba.
The photograph measures approximately 16 x 20 inches and is accompanied by its original title block reading:
“Florida East Coast Car Ferry
Discharging Double Load at Havana, Cuba”
The photograph was previously framed and matted but has been removed because of the condition of the frame. The original frame is not included. The original title block from the framing is included as shown. Inset in the top left corner is an original photo of the ferry at sea. This is attached to the front of the photo.
Condition: The photograph shows noticeable age and handling wear, including surface marks, spotting, discoloration, edge wear, and an indentation/crease through the middle area. Additional scattered creases and surface irregularities may be present. Please examine all photographs carefully for the most accurate representation of condition.
