John Herbert Dillinger (June 22, 1903 – July 22, 1934) was an American gangster during the Great Depression. He led the Dillinger Gang, which was accused of robbing 24 banks and four police stations. Dillinger was imprisoned several times and escaped twice. Dillinger was shot and killed by the special agents on July 22, 1934. Dillinger's death came only two months after the deaths of fellow notorious criminals Bonnie and Clyde. There are contents on Dillinger throughout the paper, and the back page is covered in pictures from the crime scene where he was captured and shot. Other notable contents include politics, advertisements, entertainment, full-page comics, sports, Chicago Cubs article, Dizzy Dean, business markets, stock exchange prices and classified ads.
