In 1987, drifter Larry Allen Stout murdered a Staunton, Va., dry cleaner on Augusta Street. This original Waynesboro (Va) News-Virginian photo taken by Charles Culbertson is Stout being escorted out of court after receiving the death penalty. Taken June 24, 1987. I have included the photo as it appeared in the News-Virginian.The photo was developed and then printed on this piece of heavy, semi-matte paper that was then waxed and placed in the day's layout. The photo was rescued from the trash bin on the day it ran on page one. The back of the photo still has some traces of wax on it, and the penciled notation, "Page 1 Convicted." Comes with this sheet of paper it's been stored on for many years, along with notation by the photographer.It measures 4 x 8.5 inches. If you hold it slanted under a light, you can see one or two indentations on it. No tears. Will be mailed flat in an unbendable package.Ships from Virginia. Thanks for looking.
