Made of a limestone and quartzite composition stone it has an aged patina.

On offer here for the first time is a rare cylinder seal impression replica that mentions the name ILULU who was an obscure Sumerian king who reigned for a few years from 2125 B.C.E. approximately.  

The inscription reads 'ILULU the servant of SIAUM.'
The imagery on the seal is a frequent depiction of a rampant lion taking on a wild beast in the presence of the tree of life.
Smooth and well proportioned modelling of the lion's bodies with cuneiform text make for a good example of a Sumerian seal impression.
