This is a Beautiful One Of A Kind piece of Pottery from the ACOMA PUEBLO POTTERY, These pieces are highly collectable and this one is from 1998 and in amazing condition due to the fact it has been packaged and stored for decades. It is approximately 12 inches tall and 11.5 inches wide. It is signed by both the potter and the artist. Perhaps they were brothers or from the same family. If your not familiar with ACOMA POTTERY and why they are so desirable I have included the following description of this genre of work. The walls of this pottery are very thin, almost like fine china but made from clay with the techniques passed down thru generations. Please see all the pictures as they are a part of the description. What are Acoma pots?Traditional Acoma pottery ismade using a slate-like clay found within the hills surrounding the Pueblo. When fired using traditional methods, this clay allows the potters to form very thin walls, a common and sought after characteristic of Acoma pottery.
