This vintage perfumed dusting body powder box and matching powder puff was made by the luxury French fashion house Lanvin during the 1950s-1960s, the mid-20th-century golden era of cosmetic vanity sets.
The set still contains its original powder!
The round, pale pink porcelain dusting powder container features a classical Victorian-style motif on the lid. The central design depicts hand-painted cherubs surrounded by intricate gold-gilt filigree borders.
The powder puff is a fluffy, plush pink applicator used to dust scented powder onto the body. It features a pink satin ribbon handle explicitly branded with the LANVIN logo.
