Unique vintage hand-cut and welded metal folk art garden sculpture featuring a whimsical dancing woman with wild wavy hair, hoop earrings, exaggerated hands and feet, and a wonderful primitive/outsider-art look.
The figure measures approximately 25” tall x 20” wide, with a 20” welded rebar garden stake, for approximately 45” total height.
This piece came from a Michigan lake house estate and is unsigned.
During research, I found very similar figural steel sculptures by late Taos, New Mexico artist Rosemary “Pozzi” Franzetti (1953–2012), whose work included whimsical dancers and garden sculpture. This piece shares similarities in its facial features, hair, earrings, exaggerated hands and overall construction. Because this example is unsigned and has no original documentation, it is being sold as an unattributed vintage folk-art sculpture and is NOT represented as an authenticated Franzetti work.
Handmade metal construction with a dark rustic painted/patinated finish. There is surface wear, oxidation/rust and other age-related wear consistent with an outdoor vintage piece. Please examine all photos closely as they are part of the condition description.
A fantastic statement piece for a garden, patio, eclectic home, folk-art collection or primitive/outsider-art display.
