Vintage German Stag Handle Carving Knife Set - F. Dick (?) Anton Wingen Jr. (?) For Sale

This is a beautiful vintage carving set made in Germany.

The maker is unclear to me, although searches tell me that it’s Anton Wingen Jr. from the style of the hand carved antler handles and the deer heads logo. But at the same time the sharpening steel is an F. Dick from Germany which is well known to be great quality.

The name card inside and printed on the green felt (Rudolf Becker) is the retailer and distributor of quality knife sets as this one is.

This set has never been used, but someone wanted to ‘play’ and see what it’s like to use a steel, and put a very slight scratch on the blade which I pictured (pic 11). It’s very hard to see, but it’s the only flaw I can find. Everything else is beautiful.

If you love beautiful knives and cutlery, this would be a great addition to your dining room drawer, or your knife collection.

Look closely at the intricate detailed art on the steel, and on the antler handles.
