Goebel Käthe Kruserefers toan extremely rare, highly collectible series ofporcelain figurines produced by W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik in 1955 and 1956, based on the famous German doll designs ofKäthe Kruse. In the early 1950s, Franz Goebel proposed transforming Kruse’s iconic, realistic cloth doll designs into hand-painted porcelain figurines. Crafted by master sculptorArthur Möller, only 17 model designs were ever created before the line was retired in 1969.

• Inception: Franz Goebel envisioned a porcelain figurine line mimicking
• Production: The original 12 models were produced in 1955 under Kruse’s personal supervision. Five additional models and a plaque launched in early 1956.
