A stunning and authentic mid-century porcelain two tier tidbit tray by Lefton China - Made in Japan during the 50s.

This pattern is "Golden Wheat" it is so elegant with hand painted wheat stalks in 22K gold on a glossy white porcelain base. Unique scalloped rims. The metal handle is in good shape no rust

Bit of history...

Lefton was founded by George Zoltan Lefton in 1941 and he was famous for importing high-quality hand painted ceramics from Japan to the United States after WWII This pattern "Golden Wheat" was launched in the mid 50s and captured the Post War American aesthetic warmth, prosperity and natural simplicity.  These pieces were used for formal mid-century dining
