This is a particularly dramatic close-up photograph taken from dock level, giving an excellent view of the ship’s bow and the CONTE BIANCAMANO name clearly visible on the hull.
The Conte Biancamano was a historic Italian passenger liner associated with transatlantic service during the 20th century. This is an original period photograph and not a modern reproduction.
Photograph came from an old estate containing a large collection of photographs taken by a professional and reportedly well-known photographer. Unfortunately, I no longer have the photographer’s name, so this photograph is being sold as unattributed.
The exact port and date of the photograph are presently unknown.
Reverse is marked “107” over “7”, apparently an old photographer or archive reference number. There is also some very faint writing near the upper corner of the reverse.
Measures approximately 10 inches square. Please see the photographs with the tape measure for actual size.
Vintage estate condition with age toning, natural curling or waviness, light surface and edge wear and other minor signs of age and storage. Please examine all photographs carefully for condition.
