Vtg 1960 WELTON BECKET Architectural Plans / Design Photos SFO AIRPORT Terminal For Sale

a recent estate sale acquisition. I picked these up from an architect's estate recently. I assume he had worked for WELTON BECKET AND ASSOCIATES at some point in the late 1950's / mid 1960's as there were documents and plans from a variety of different projects. I shall list more of these shortly. This listing is for :
a set of 7 original 8 x 10 glossy photos of plans, designs and renderings for their work on the South Terminal of SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ( SFO ). What is now known as the Harvey Milk Terminal 1. Welton Becket was hired in the late 1950's to re-design the terminal to make it more fitting for the "Jet Age" as it was then becoming. The firm focused on a modern open layout that emphasized passenger convenience and incorporated extensive natural daylighting. The terminal was opened in 1963. I believe these photos are from 1959 or 1960.
excellent condition to this set of photos. clean. they look brand new. i think these resided in a filing cabinet for the last 65 yrs and rarely were handled or saw the light of day.
Welton Beckett's legacy includes not only SFO but also their "Googie", Space - Age mid Century modern design for the Theme building at Los Angeles International Airport ( LAX ) as well as iconic buildings like the Capitol Records building.
I believe this set of photos is quite unique and should be displayed somewhere, either in an archive or someone's personal collection.
