Vtg Santa Christmas Wreath Wall Hanging 15” Hong Kong Plastic Holly Bells Bird For Sale

Wonderful vintage Christmas wall hanging featuring Santa climbing a trailing holly vine beneath a colorful Christmas wreath.

The molded 6-inch wreath is decorated with poinsettias, evergreen foliage, holly, berries, pinecones and gold bells. A glittered gold bird sits along the lower portion of the wreath. Below it, a dimensional Santa figure appears to be climbing the hanging holly greenery.

The decoration measures approximately 15 inches long overall, with the wreath measuring approximately 6 inches wide.

The back of the wreath is clearly embossed MADE IN HONG KONG. The molded plastic construction, hand-painted details and mixed artificial greenery are characteristic of mid-century/retro Hong Kong Christmas decorations. Similar Hong Kong molded-plastic Christmas decorations are commonly attributed to the 1960s–1970s.

This is a particularly fun piece of vintage Christmas kitsch and would display beautifully with other retro Santa, dime-store Christmas or mid-century holiday decorations.
