Here is an ORIGINAL Court document used in Charleston, S.C. and dated Sept. 18th, 1899. This court document is: Alfred S. Malcomson -vs- Wappo Mills.
Document reads:
"... I find that during the month of December 1895, Charles C. Pinckney Jr., leased from Petitioner John H. Devereux a room in the building of Devereux in Charleston County on the Ashley River, at and for the price of Twenty five dollars per month, and that is said that said C. G. Pinckney, Jr., placed an engine and boiler to be used by him for bagging his phosphates stored in the Devereux Warehouse during the shipping season.
This original court document is attempting the Judge/Court to ask for: "... Pay the balance of Three Hundred Dollars for one year's rent .....". The court is planning on demand of paying the debt from the "Estate of Capt. C. C. Pinckney." (see image # 7 )
This 2-page court document is typed and measures: 8' by 12.5' inches and in EXCELLENT condition for being 125 years old.
