Description: Produced by one of America\'s most famous Victorian clockmakers \"Ansonia,\" this china clock is hand painted in cobalt blue with flowers and having gold accents. The porcelain is marked, \"Register\". The form features a gorgeous molded floral and scrolled motif, having stylized torchiere columns. The case is similar to Royal Bonn examples, but apparently unmarked. Perhaps a rare form, I was not able to find a similar one. The porcelain face reads, \"M\'F\'D by the Ansonia Clock Co. New York , U.S.A.\"; and the movement is marked, \"ANSONIA CLOCK Co. patented June 14, 81. NEW YORK U.S.A.\" It comes with the key shown.
Condition:The porcelain dial has very fine hairlines at the 2:30 position. The porcelain case is very good, free of chips, cracks or repairs; Just slight wear to the gold highlights. This clock appears all original, and comes with the key shown. It is lacking its pendulum and is Untested. As with all of our clocks and watches, we make no warrantees as to the originality, workability or completeness of the movement. This clock may work fine, but assume it may need adjusting or service.
