Antique Art Writing Portfolio Jabbar Khan & Son Srinagar Kashmir For Sale

A fine hand carved writing or art portfolio. The covers are beautifully carved with a leaf motif and the interior has the original paper label signed "Jabbar Khan & Son, 3rd Bridge, Srinagar Kashmir, Paper Mache Maker & Wood Carver". There was probably blotter paper inside at one time, it is empty now. Overall dimensions are 13 7/8" x 10". the Portfolio is in very good overall condition. There is wear to the leather spine, see photos. I can't tell if the piece on the interior of the spine is original or not, it works fine for it's use. This is a lovely example of wood carving.
