Antique German Christmas Celluloid Fold-Up Collapsible Lantern 12 Panel Ornament For Sale

These 2 German Christmas tree lanterns do show the typical damage you would see on these. Many of the panels show some damage…particularly the multicolored one. There are no panels missing, but there is breakage and warping to many of them. I felt that some of the damage may not be obvious in the photos, so I circled any that I felt weren’t very noticeable.

The hinges are all in good condition and the lanterns collapse and expand easily.

The magenta and blue paneled lantern has damage to nearly every panel.

The other lantern has soft gold colored panels and it has damage to 4 of its panels.

I suggest that if you use them as lanterns you will need to find a small light that does not emit heat.

When open they are approximately 3” high, not including the hanger.
