OkladSterling Silver Gold PlatedArchangel MichaelArchangel Michael is depicted on the icon as a triumphant. He is positioned strictly frontally, full-length, his face is thoughtful, devoid of any belligerence. The archangel is wearing imperial robes - a long divitision ( dalmatic ) and a cinnabar cloak of a winner, belted on the shoulders and chest with a wide loir , decorated with gems and pearls, on his feet are red boots. In his right hand, the archangel holds a red yardstick with an enamel top, and in his left - a mirror with an image of the Savior Emmanuel (only the outline has survived). According to S. I. Maslenitsyn , Michael's wings are proudly spread, his face is illuminated by the reflections of the victorious flame. A large golden halo is decorated with an ornament: crosses in circles pinned on gesso . S. I. Maslenitsyn notes that initially the figure stood out clearly against the white background of the central part of the icon, separated from the fields by a wide cinnabar strip.Size 8.5 cm x 10.5 cm4.5x3.5 inches
