1910’s George “Gipper” Gipp cabinet card. Published by Sosnoski of South Bend. Gipp was a football standout at multiple positions at Notre Dame. He died of pneumonia contracted during a football game. Gipp delivered a motivational speech to Knute Rochne on his death bed which became the famous Rochne “win 1 for the Gipper” speech.
