This is a hand painted African barber shop sign. Painted on wood. French Africa. Unknown origin signed by artist. The back has pencil markings which include numbers, some English, and what appears to be an Arabic message.

Looking at the painting you can see pencil marks the artist used as lines to align their painting. This piece is really beautiful.
