This patch is more than 100 years old and is a US Army patch from the WW1 era. This is known as a “Liberty Loan” patch. They are called Liberty Loan patches because they were made available as part of afinal war loan promotion and made available for sale at stateside PX’s and overseas embarkation points at the end of WW1. Entirely machine made, using a technique that was developed in the early 1900’s. First a strip of base material is fed into a loom, then colored thread is worked into it, completing the design. Usually constructed of thin cotton or artificial silk. You are buying the patch pictured. No international shipping.
