-Octahedral Pyrite Cluster from Huanzala Mine, Peru.
-This is a mound like cluster of octahedral pyrite displaying lots of clean, sharp edges and distinct octahedrons.
- Unique patterns add character to many of the faces on the specimen.
-The bottom of the piece has a vug (cavity) fully lined with more octahedral pyrite crystals, making it like a unique geode cluster of sorts! -Pyrite forms in octahedrons when the sulfur content is high, whereas cubes form when the iron is more present. These octahedrons form less frequently for this reason.- A very striking, and aesthetic piece. Great small cabinet specimen.
- Measures approximately 4.75cm. X 3.75cm. X 2.75cm
