This listing is for an Old Vintage 1920s 1930s Art Deco Seikosha Japanese Desk / Table / Mantel Clock. The case is made of a yellow green vaseline colored glass, but does not glow under a blacklight. The square shaped clock face is marked "Trade Mark 8 Day Made By Seikosha, Tokyo, Japan." (photo 6). Not sure who made the glass, looks very Czech to me. It is asymmetrical with curved and angled geometric designs. Overall it has a frosted satin finish but some of the flat side are polished. I am not a clock expert and do not know if it works. At the moment it is not running and I did not wind it.
It is in very good condition overall with no cracks or repairs. There is one larger flake chip to top right corner (photo 20) and some other small chips / flakes to edges (photos 21-24). No other notable issues. Glass is clean. Aged patina to brass. Please view photos carefully as they are my main description. *(White spots in photos are glare / lighting, not actually on the item).
It is very fragile and pretty heavy weighing over 3 lbs before packing and will be securely packaged and double boxed.
It measures 5 13/16" tall, 6 7/8" long, and 2 5/16" wide front to back. Please feel free to email with any questions and be sure to check out my other glassware, pottery, antique, and MCM items. Thanks!
