A magnificent vintage Aynsley bone china teacup and saucer with signed J. A. Bailey graphics. The saucer, outside of the cup, and inside rim of the cup are decorated with glossy teal blue paint. The bottom interior of the cup has a glorious floral bouquet with a pink cabbage rose at the center. The graphics are signed "A. J. Bailey". Gold gilt trim. Made in England.
The teacup is 2 1/4" tall with an opening diameter of 3 5/8". The saucer is 5 1/2" in diameter.
No chips or cracks. The cup has one tiny nick in the blue color, it's circled in the photos. The gold gilt trim on the base of the cup has minor wear on the edges but nothing obvious. The gold gilt trim on the saucer has no wear but has a slightly rough texture in one section, nothing visible. The overall appearance of both teacup and saucer is excellent. Both pieces make a bell sound when tapped lightly with a teaspoon.
