Vintage Mexican Folk Art Pottery Wedding Scene Aurelio Flores Family Artists 7pc For Sale

This extremely rare, stunning vintage Mexican Folk Art pottery depicts a wedding scene and features seven figurines by the artisan family of Aurelio Flores of Izucar de Matamoros, Puebla, Mexico.

The handmade craftsmanship of these pieces truly showcases the rich culture of Mexico. The details of these pieces are amazing, from the intricate design of the figurines' attire to the vibrant colors used to bring the scene to life, the bride’s bouquet with the traditional wire to the amazing organist. This pottery is a movement, a period and emblematic of Mexico and a true representation of their unique artistry.

The figures most likely date to circa 1960/70s. The pieces measure ranging from 5-1/4 inches in height, 2-3/4 inches in width and 2-3/4 inches in depth to 6-1/2 tall by 4-1/2 wide. The figures are in good vintage condition with some signs of wear (see photographs).
