$312.99

I WILL LISTING AUTOGRAPHS EVERY SUNDAY (and on some Saturdays too!)In fairness to all interested buyers PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME TO END THIS sale EARLY OFFERED HERE
An ORIGINAL, NOT A COPY, NOR REPRODUCTION, extremely low starting price that does not reflect value, AUTHENTIC c. mid 1930\'s, short and scarce HANDWRITTEN AND SIGNED penciled LETTER addressed to \"Mrs. Herbert Hoover Palo Alto, California\" with no punctuation marks and three words crossed out. Collectors of presidential autographs will know the rarity of Hoover\'s handwritten letters. He is known to have stated that he only hand wrote 2 or 3 a year. Judging from this letter one can see why! Hoover is informing his wife that he and their son Allan are \"leaving for Kansas City today will stop Kansas City Club leaving here Sunday for Emporia stay Sunday night William Allan White much love (signed) Herbert Hoover.\" A great addition to any presidential autograph collection. Herbert Clark Hoover (August 10, 1874 – October 20, 1964) was the 31st President of the United States (1929–1933). Hoover, born to a Quaker family, was a professional mining engineer. He achieved American and international prominence in humanitarian relief efforts in war-time Belgium and served as head of the U.S. Food Administration during World War I. As the United States Secretary of Commerce in the 1920\'s under Presidents Warren G. Harding and Calvin Coolidge, he promoted partnerships between government and business under the rubric \"economic modernization\". In the presidential election of 1928, Hoover easily won the Republican nomination, despite having no elected-office experience. Hoover is the most recent cabinet secretary to be elected President of the United States, as well as one of only two Presidents (along with William Howard Taft) elected without electoral experience or high military rank. America was at the height of an economic bubble at the time, facilitating a landslide victory for Hoover over Democrat Al Smith.It\'s worth a google search to learn more about this great man\'s interesting life and career.Letter measures approximately 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches. SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO SEE LARGER IMAGES.PAYMENT & MAILING

response is a huge issue for sellers. The new rules of make the detailed response (the stars) as important as whether the response is positive or not. By giving a seller 1 or 2 stars you may cause him/her additional expenses on fees of hundreds of dollars a month for a long period of time. Please contact me before leaving a less than perfect response to discuss any problem.>
