Antique Sapphire Blue Pedestal Flint Glass Open Salt Cellar 1860 For Sale

This Antique Sapphire Blue Pedestal Flint Glass Open Salt Cellar from 1860 is a stunning piece of Victorian-era dinnerware. Handmade in the United States, this blown molded glass item features a beautiful blue color and a unique flint glass design. Standing at 3 1/8 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide, it is a rare and original collectible for those interested in kitchen and home decor from the 19th century. Please see the photos as there are chips to most of the corners of this hexagon or piece for the upper rim. The bottom base has fared much better and has no chips, cracks or bruises. It seems to be just the upper edges that have taken the brunt of the hits over the decades. It is still a very nice example of colored flint glass from the Midwest.
