Horsford thanks Muzzey for a memorial tribute that was published in the Tribune then goes on to lament about friends who had passed....
"THANKS FOR THE MEMORIAL TRIBUTE WHICH I HAVE. READ WITH SO MUCH SATISFACTION IN THE TRIBUNE AND CAN NOW LAY AWAY AMONG MY CHERISHED RECORDS OF FRIENDS PASSED ONHOW THE GRAND SPIRITS ARE GATHERING ON THE OTHER SIDETWO YEARS AGO I ASKED OLE BULL, FIELDS? PROF. PEIRCE, MR LONGFELLOW, AND PROF PUTNAM TO MEET MY OLD FRIEND LEWIS H MORGAN OF ROCHESTER TO DINE WITH ME, OF A???, PUTNAM AND MYSELF ARE ALL THAT REMAIN.
