1902 Coronation of King Edward VII, Queen Alexandra Bronze Medal/Case 62mm For Sale

Up for sale is an official 1911 Royal Mint bronze coronation medal for King George V.

• ​Obverse: Features the crowned, robed profile bust of King George V facing left, holding the orb at the lower left. Legend reads "GEORGE V CROWNED JUNE 22 1911". Designed by Sir Bertram Mackennal (B.M. monogram in truncation).
• ​Reverse: Features the crowned profile bust of Queen Mary facing left (reverse side of the issue).
• ​Casing: Housed in its original fitted dark red Royal Mint presentation box. The interior lid is lined in cream silk bearing the gilt crowned Royal Cypher monogram (GR V). Dark blue velvet base insert.
• ​Dimensions / Specs: Official 51 mm bronze issue by the Royal Mint.

​Condition Report:

Medal retains its original dark bronze finish with sharp details throughout the crown, orb, and bust. The fitted presentation case shows mild edge wear and light foxing/staining on the inner satin lid, consistent with age. The hinge and push-clasp operate properly.
