Thisauction is for a neat piece of aviation history from the barnstorming days of flight. It is a souvenir Flight Ticket on a Tri-Motored Ford Airplane which was piloted by famous Reg Robbins. The ticket has his picture on it; as well as a stamp from the Langellier Motor Co., Lincoln, Illinois who brought the event to town; on the back. The date of June 28, 1930 and Johnny and Momma is written on the back as well. People would gain notoriety in some way and then use that fame to take tours to make money. This was the case with Reg Robbins who came to Lincoln, Illinois in June of 1930. Reginald L. \"Reg\" Robbins and co-pilot James Kelly set a world flight endurance record of 172 hours and 32 minutes in May 1929. Here is some information about the event from the internet.In June 1930, famous endurance pilot Colonel Reg Robbins visited Lincoln, Illinois, flying a large, 14-passenger Ford Tri-Motor airplane. The visit was organized in conjunction with Langellier Motor Co., a prominent local Ford dealership based in Lincoln. During the promotional event, Robbins landed the massive all-metal aircraft—often called the \"Tin Goose\"—at a local landing strip to offer airplane rides and flight demonstrations to the public over the city.In fair condition for its age with signs of blemishes and damage; soiling/staining; bends/creases/tears; missing corner; other blemishes and damage; etc. Please study pictures above to determine condition of item.
