Includes an extensive printed note from Kean explaining his choice of the Cibber text over the original, with references to Garrick, Kemble, and his father Edmund Kean, plus a list of historical costume authorities consulted, signed in print “Charles Kean.” Date not printed; era estimated to Kean’s Princess’s Theatre management (1850s),
