Antique Stereoview Lot 38 Victorian Comedy Story Series Keystone Underwood c1900 For Sale

The collection includes cards and narrative groups published by Keystone View Company, Underwood & Underwood, Universal Photo Art Co., and International Stereograph Co.

Many of these cards were originally issued as sequential humorous stories and are still grouped with their related scenes. Subjects include the popular “Biddy” domestic comedy scenes, “How Biddy Served the Tomatoes,” wedding and newlywed stories, household and dining humor, courtship, and other staged genre scenes.

Several groups form multi-card narratives intended to be viewed in sequence through a stereoscope. Some cards have printed captions and story text on the reverse, including multilingual text, while others have blank backs.

38 cards total. This is the exact collection shown in the photographs. Group photographs show the complete lot, with additional photographs showing individual cards and smaller story groups.

Cards are in mixed antique condition with normal age-related wear. Please review all photographs carefully for individual condition, titles, publisher information, staining, writing, creasing and other wear.
