Original antique Swift’s Premium Kettle Rendered Pure Lard tin pail manufactured for Swift & Company. Features the early red advertising graphics with the Swift “S” emblem and wire carrying handle.
Approximate measurements from the photos are 6¼ inches in diameter and about 6½ inches tall, not including the raised handle.
This is a nice piece of early American grocery, butcher shop, kitchen, and food advertising memorabilia. The naturally aged surface and worn graphics give it strong primitive/farmhouse display character.
