Circa 1870s Frommann & Bunte Transformation Playing Card Deck, 52 Cards For Sale

An antique c1870 deck of transformation playing cards by Frommann & Bunte, titled " Comic Karte ". Complete 52 cards - no joker (not issued)` Wonderful one-way colorful court cards. The pip cards all have designs done in brown ink and they cover a variety of topics - military / war related, smoking, music /orchestra, hunting, dueling, clowns, children playing period games, circus performers. The 8D had the letter M and F in the top two diamonds. In good / very good played with condition. The cards exhibit toning and staining but no rips, tears or creases. The cards are quite stiff.
