Front: NATURAL BRIDGEHOTEL, NATURAL BRIDGE, VA. Back: THE NATURAL BRIDGE OF VIRGINIA is located inRockbridge County a few miles to the west of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Lengthof bridge 90 feet; width averages 100 feet; height 215 feet; 40 feet thick.Granted from George III on July 5, 1774, to Thomas Jefferson 157 acres, whichincluded the bridge on Cedar Creek which flows under it. – Marken &Bielfeld, Inc., Frederick, Md. – 6A-H2447. The Production Number dates thispostcard to 1936. Research has found that the original hotel burned down in1963, and the new hotel opened in 1965. Please look at the scans and you will have a better of idea of the condition of our postcards.
