This is a stunning, substantial 16-inch Chinese porcelain bottle vase (Tianqiuping shape) featuring an incredibly dense, hand-painted "Millefleurs" (hundred flowers) design. The colorful overglaze enamels are painted entirely by hand over a rich black "Famille Noire" ground, creating a beautiful textured surface you can feel.
Pictures do not do this vase justice. It is really special.
Originally purchased from Montgomery Auction house out of Columbia, Maryland.
The base features a blue stamped apocryphal Qianlong seal mark, indicating a high-quality mid-to-late 20th-century vintage production.
