This Vintage 1982 Olson Brand Rodeo Trophy Belt Buckle is a piece of Western Americana culture direct from Canada. In the 1980’s, year end bull-rider events were held in this USA and CANADA region (usually Montana and Alberta) that combined competitors from each country. It was prior to the PBA being formed in 1992. This trophy buckle was from a prominent showcase event, a bracket style elimination event where the finest bull riders competed. We estimate that the metals are engraved nickel and bronze. It is a LARGE trophy buckle…..measuring 4 1/4” x 3 3/8”, fitting belts up to 1 1/2” wide and weighing about 5 ounces.
