Vintage Genuine Incolay Stone Blue Cherub Jewelry / Keepsake Box with Original Incolay LiteratureBeautiful and highly detailed Genuine Incolay Stone jewelry or keepsake box, handcrafted in the USA by Incolay Studios Inc.This substantial oval box features a gorgeous blue marbled stone appearance with intricate ivory-colored raised relief decoration. The lid depicts a romantic classical figural scene surrounded by flowers, foliage, scrollwork and ornate decorative detailing. Additional raised pastoral scenes and floral ornamentation continue around the sides.The hinged interior is lined in black velvet/felt and retains its original “Genuine Incolay Stone – Handcrafted U.S.A.” label.Especially nice for collectors, this piece also includes its original Incolay Studios literature/paperwork. The accompanying literature describes the Incolay Collection, its handcrafted production, and the composition of Incolay stone from a combination of minerals including onyx, malachite, carnelian and jade. The paperwork identifies Incolay Studios Inc., San Fernando, California.According to the original literature, the decorative design was selected for limited reproduction from an earlier sculpture dating circa 1820–1869.Approximate Measurements:
