Vintage Pitney Bowes Glass Postal History Advertising Plaque Tray 1958 9x7 For Sale

Vintage Pitney-Bowes commemorative glass plaque/tray featuring an elaborate history of U.S. mail service and transportation.

The reverse-decorated glass design includes early U.S. postage stamps, Pony Express, rail, ship and air mail imagery, a Pitney-Bowes postage meter, and an illustration of the company's Home Office and Factory.

The border features the famous postal inscription:

“Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.”

The reverse identifies the Pitney-Bowes, Inc. Home Office and Factory as “Completed 1958,” helping date this unusual corporate promotional piece to the late 1950s/early 1960s period.

Also marked with the PB Pitney-Bowes logo and historical information concerning the U.S. Post Office, Pony Express and air mail.
