This vintage color linen postcard shows a night-time scene of First Baptist Church and its Sunday school rooms in Columbia, South Carolina. A full moon and dark clouds appear above the illuminated columned church and the large connected red-brick educational building. Published by Asheville Post Card Co., this unused divided-back card is numbered C-135 and E-8825. Printed reverse copy recounts period historical information about the church; those statements are attributed to the postcard rather than independently verified. This view may interest collectors of Columbia local history, Baptist churches, religious architecture, moonlight scenes, and South Carolina postcards. Visible condition includes light edge wear, toning, spotting, a small brown reverse mark, and minor surface wear. Please review all photographs.
Condition: Visible light corner and edge wear, age toning, scattered spotting, a small brown mark on the lower-right reverse, and minor surface or printing marks. Unwritten and unstamped.
