This is a Rare Antique 19th Century Ansonia "La Plata" Victorian "Royal Bonn" Large Porcelain Ceramic Mantel Shelf Clock with Porcelain 'Open Escapement' Dial, made by the Ansonia Clock Company New York USA, circa 1882. It has a Beautiful Large Footed 'Royal Bonn Germany' Colorful Pink and White German Fine China Porcelain Ceramic Case with Hand Painted Floral Flowers With Gold Gilt Accents and Vibrant Colors, Absolutely Stunning!!! It Has Decorative Figural Griffin Head on Top, and a Figural Head on Each Leg, As Pictured! The Case is Signed on the Back "Royal Bonn Germany" with Painted Signature, and "La Plata" with Embossed Signature. This Has a Porcelain Dial with Visible Open Escapement with Arabic Numerals and Ornate Fancy Bezel with Heavy Beveled Glass. The Dial is Signed "Trademark A" and "Manufactured By The Ansonia Clock Co. New York United States Of America". The Dial Has a Couple Hairlines, As Pictured. This Clock has an Ansonia Brass Mechanical 8 Day "Time and Strike" Key Wound Movement, which is signed "Ansonia Clock Co. Patented A June 14 81 New York USA Patented June 18 1882", with Cathedral Coil Spring Gong Chime, Which Strikes Correctly. There are 2 Winding Arbors, and It includes a Winding Key and Correct Brass Adjustable Regulator Pendulum. The Clock is Large and Measures approx. 13 1/4" Tall x 14 1/4" Wide x 6 1/2" Deep. The Porcelain Case is in Very Good Condition!!! The Clock Winds, Ticks and Sets, and Strikes Correctly, But Will Only Run For a Bit and Stop. This Will Need Service, Adjustments or Attention.
