This antique Art Nouveau Ophelia Clock is a stunning piece signed by Claude Bonnefond and features beautiful bronze patina finish. The clock is an original from the early 20th century art nouveau period featuring a beautiful women that may be Ophelia. It is a mantle style, making it perfect for any room display. There is no winding key, the clock face is chipped, I don’t know if it is working but assume it doesn’t. There are two protruding pieces on the side that both seem to have been broken in the same spot, I imagine it protruded further, you can see where it was broken and you can see all imperfections in the pictures. It is used, it is old, and expect to get a used old item in used condition, scuffs, scratches and all.
The clock is unique and is a great piece with a unique theme. The frame material is metal and it was manufactured in France I believe. I am not an expert on clocks so I don’t know if all of my information is accurate and I also don’t know if there are vital parts missing as I don’t know anything about what these clocks should contain. This clock is similar to others by Ansonia, Gilbert, and Freres, and is sure to be a wonderful addition to any clock collection.
