C1930’s Rockwell Silver Company Sterling Overlay Glass Box. Antelope Pattern For Sale

For sale is a wonderful Rockwell Silver Company sterling silver overlay lidded trinket or desk box.

This box is black amethyst glass with high quality sterling silver overlays.

Done in the Antelope Pattern (Sometimes referred to as Elk and Calf)

The box is unsigned but most likely had and enameled number on the bottom which has since worn away.

You find this pattern on a lot of Rockwell Silver vases but not so often on a trinket box such as this.

Condition: Very Good. Silver tarnish as seen. No chips or breaks noticed. Silver overlay all good. See all pictures

Rockwell Silver Company:

Organized by Lucien Rockwell and E.F. Skinner in 1907, with Wells Rockwell as general manager, employing 6 men in a plant that was 1,500 SF. In 1913 the company was reorganized, increasing its size to 11,250 SF, with traveling salesmen all over the US. Seth Nesser was the head of decorating for Rockwell.

Rockwell is a very high quality silver. They also decorated many other company's glass, such as Tiffin, Steuben, etc.
