Vintage Pernod Fils Paris advertising 500 ml (1/2 liter) glass carafe with blue, white and red logo from the 1960's. Pernod was the most popular brand of absinthe throughout the 19th century. The name Pernod Fils name eventually became synonymous with absinthe. Although absinthe was banned in France in 1910 as well as much of the rest of the world. The Pernod distillery began producing anise flavored liquors around the time of WWI. This bottle was an advertising water pitcher typically used in french cafes etc. to advertise their anise liquor drinks that might be on the menu.
